Financial Educator of the Year Award - Ontario

Nominate an educator from Ontario who has made a positive impact on students through:
- leadership in financial education that makes a significant impact on the lives of students/community
- innovation and creativity in the development or teaching of financial education programs/materials
- commitment to supporting students’ extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in financial literacy or investment education
- promotion of financial education programs and strategies beyond the school or board

Winners will receive a financial award of $500 and an additional $500 to be used for their school.

Investor Education Fund (www.getsmarteraboutmoney.ca) develops and provides cross-curricular financial education resources to help teachers from grades 4-12 develop students’ financial knowledge and skills. In addition, IEF provides teacher training to help teachers integrate the lessons in their classroom.
